What is Employee Rewards?
Employee
rewards are typically objects that have some monetary value attached to them.
Awarding incentives is transactional, usually connected to particular
performance criteria or work achievements. Organizations often implement
employee reward systems to recognize and encourage employees for their efforts
and contributions, both individually and collectively
What Is
Employee Engagement?
Employee
engagement is a human resources (HR) concept that describes the level of
enthusiasm and dedication a worker feels toward their job. Engaged employees
care about their work and about the performance of the company, and feel that
their efforts make a difference. An engaged employee is in it for more than a
paycheck and may consider their well-being linked to their performance, and
thus instrumental to their company's success

Think of the highest performing, most engaged employee you have ever encountered. What motivated them to show up each day with the same inspired attitude? Chances are, it was more than their base pay.
Companies need to offer much more than standard compensation to engage employees across the organization. Everyone’s competing for top talent. Combine that with a troubling labor shortage, and the situation becomes clear: you need to do everything you can to attract and retain the best talent possible. It’s the only way to consistently drive success in your organization.
Of course,
this usually means offering the best options possible in terms of compensation
and benefits packages. But that alone is not enough to retain talented
employees. Employee engagement is something that happens at the cultural level

Employee engagement metrics are increasing in importance as ways of
working become more complex and remote. These metrics are a vital indicator of
employees’ level of connectedness and motivation. It goes without saying, but
an engaged employee is more productive, contributes towards the company vision

Now that we
understand what employee engagement is, let’s dive into the four pillars of
employee engagement in a company. These four pillars provide a systematic and
strategic approach to creating a maintaining employee engagement within an organization.
Let’s explore each of these pillars in more detail to understand how they
contribute to employee engagement and organizational success

CONCLUSIONS
This aimed at establishing the effect of rewards on employee
engagement at organization. That was: direct financial benefits, indirect final
benefits and non financial benefits. The findings of the study revealed that
research, several factors contribute to employees’ engagement and commitment at
the place of work. However, the contribution of these factors varies in strength
and appeal to workers. It concerns the belief that work is worthwhile and
meaningful enough to add value and significance to accomplishments at work.

Rewards, often are monetarily based, acknowledge specific achievements, while engagement delves deeper into an employee's dedication and connection with their role and the company's vision and mission. The employer should make an environment where employees feel valued, heard, and empowered, ultimately this will fuel organizational success.
